The mathematics departments at many colleges across the U.S. use our Intermediate Algebra course for their students who have failed to meet their math remediation requirement. These students usually must pass Intermediate Algebra within a termination deadline, or be expelled from the university. We work closely with colleges such as San Francisco State University, Cal State Maritime, and others to help their students retain their enrollment status.
With students who have failed to meet their math remediation requirement, our Omega MathTM Intermediate Algebra course has a student success rate of over 75%. Because of this high success rate with failing students, several Cal State Universities have used our program for over a decade. These universities have an admin account within our system, which lets them keep track of their student's progress and grades. Some universities use our non-credit option and utilize the certificate of completion system from within their admin account. This system generates a certificate when a student has taken his/her proctored final and passed the class. Other universities require an official transcript for the course from our partner university, UMass Global. UMass Global is regionally accredited by WSCUC.
We are able to accommodate many requests which help universities meet their rules and requirements for student remediation on their campus.
Many colleges and universities such as Cal State Maritime use our English "College Reading and Composition" course to remediate their students. This remedial English course concentrates on vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills. Emphasis is on sentence structure, paragraph and essay structure, grammar, and critical thinking skills.
The course is taught by a full-time California Community College instructor who uses the same content as in his/her state campus class. This content along with the dedicated teachers have a proven track record of student success!
This class starts approximately once a month, and runs for eight weeks. This schedule ensures peer-review activities, and gives students a short wait time before the next session begins. Custom scheduling is available upon request. We are able to accommodate many requests which help universities meet their rules and requirements for student remediation on their campus.
