Barstow Community College permits their students to take courses through Westcott Courses under the semester credit option. The desired course must be taken under our UMass Global (regionally accredited by WSCUC) credit option. You will receive semester credits for the class, and your official transcript will come directly from the University. The transcript can then be sent to your community college and used towards graduation.

In general, Intermediate Algebra meets the math requirement for a two-year degree. Intermediate Algebra is considered remedial at a four-year college. College Algebra or Introduction to Statistics meets the math transfer requirement, and the math requirement for a four-year degree.These two courses can also be used towards a two-year degree.Lower level classes can be used at your college as prerequisites for the Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra and Statistics courses.
